Dr. Angelica R. Collins

Dr. Angelica R. Collins is a Director in the Division of Access and Opportunity-a division that ensures all voices are heard, and all people are individually recognized, regardless of their demographics, background and experiences.  She is a transformational, inspirational, and results-driven leader who has a robust history of positively impacting the lives of others.  

She is entering her 27th year in public education with 20 years being in Leadership and Administration. Throughout her career, Dr. Collins has served in a multitude of capacities, with 10 years being dedicated to Human Resources. She has a vast amount of experience and brings a diverse background to the education arena having worked at the elementary, middle, high, alternative, central office and college levels. Her leadership forte can be directly attributed to her serving as a classroom teacher, Assistant Principal, Director of Athletics, Coordinator of Allotments, Budgets and Scheduling, Adjunct Professor at St. Joseph College, Regional Human Capital Staffing Manager, Director of Human Resources, Director in Schools and Leadership, specifically supporting the Leadership Development department.   

Dr. Collins holds a Doctor of Education in Administration and Supervision from South Carolina State University, Masters in Ed Leadership from Troy State University, Bachelor of Education from Georgia Southern University, AASA Urban Superintendent Academy from AASA/Howard University, Specialist in Ed Leadership/Administration from Cambridge College. 

Dr. Collins lives by the belief that, “Actions speak louder than words. The truth is revealed by what people do and not what they say”.  Dr. Collins enjoys spending time with her daughter, Alecia’. She feels as if being a mother has been one of her greatest accomplishments.
